BEST COFFE SHOPS IN KOREATOWN

  1. Alchemist Coffee Project: My first apartment was two blocks from the plaza that is home to this coffee shop. The parking lot is free in the mornings but in the afternoon to night, you'll need to pay for valet because there are other popular restaurants nearby. It was a great place to study since there are many outlets, a clean unisex restroom nearby, and the music that was loud enough so it has a chill vibe but quiet enough to listen to your own music with your own headphones. Before COVID, they used to have a stamp/reward program which is a huge plus compared to other K-town coffee shops. I highly recommend the "Spanish Latte" and a chocolate chip cookie.
  2. Caffé Bene Wilshire: Have a party of 2+ people and want a fun place to talk, indulge in some tasty and sharable treats? This is the coffee shop for you! This is a two story coffeeshop with plenty of seating and fun board games. It can get loud in here since there are so many people usually playing games and having a good time. The waffles and honey toasts are a great dessert to go along with some hot tea.
  3. Document Coffee Bar: This coffee shop is tucked away in the back part of a building. In the back, you'll find plenty of parking for a small fee of $2. The inside is minimalistic and clean. They also have a bathroom inside the coffee shop if you plan on staying there for a while to catch up with friends, study, or get through your to-do list. My go-to drinks are the "document latte" and the "document affogato."
  4. SPL Coffee: If you don't like coffee or are in a hurry, SPL will be the perfect coffee run for you. The menu is so simple, it will make decision making that much easier and faster! Also, there isn't a lot of seating inside so it's best to order and take it on the go. "Iced matcha on the rocks" and the "Dry kapp" are a must try!
